James Millar Craig heads our Insurance Department and has over 20 years experience in dealing with insurance claims, including both Individual and Company Group PHI disputes. 

James is recognised as an expert in this field by The ME Association, Action for ME, Fibromyalgia Association and Unum Claimants Support Group acting for clients throughout England and Wales. 

PHI Claimants are being actively targeted by insurers as never before often with surveillance, pro-insurer doctors and other methods.  We deal with all illnesses, including a large number of ME/CFS disputes.

In recent years Royds have succeeded with claims against Unum, Resolution, Liverpool Victoria, Friends Provident, Aviva, Canada Life, Zurich and many other insurers.  These claims often also involve Employment disputes and we liaise with our Employment colleagues.
