Our team is able to address any of the various issues surrounding property finance and secured lending in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner in respect of a wide range of property related assets.
We have wide experience of acting for both corporate and private individuals involved in such transactions both as part of a team in respect of wider commercial lending and also on individual or bespoke transactions.
We frequently assist offshore entities in effecting or granting security including the provision or procurement of legal opinions arising from the jurisdiction in which the relevant parties are situate.
Investment
We advise an increasingly diverse group of clients that are investing in the UK property market and our varied client base continues to grow with the changing pattern of the market. Our clients range from property companies, overseas investors and institutions, to individuals investing in a property that they intend to occupy.
Investment transactions are carried out through a variety of structures, for example in the actual purchaser’s name (a company or an individual), by a Special Purpose Vehicle, through a trust or as a joint venture. Our team at Royds is experienced in conducting transactions that are carried out in a variety of different structures, and we work closely with our colleagues in other departments at the firm who have the relevant experience to advise you in relation to tax and offshore issues that may arise with regard to your transaction.
We aim to identify all the issues in your transaction and your business requirements at an early stage and we will advise you of practical solutions to any issues that may arise during this process. We appreciate that there may be a wider commercial reasoning behind the pure legal structure of your transaction and we strive to offer you a tailored legal service to your specific needs.
