Our commercial property team advises numerous charities. We have clients in all charity sectors, including those with religious, UK and overseas aid, and educational associations. We have particular expertise and experience of working with Steiner related charities.
Working with charities requires an in depth knowledge of the unique aspects of dealing with Charity Commission requirements and the statutes that govern the workings of a charity. At Royds we are experienced in working within these unique parameters.
Charity Retail Advice
A number of our long-standing charity clients have developed significant retail portfolios upon which we advise. We are one of the leading firms offering retail advice and through experience with our existing clients we have learnt how to tailor our expertise in the retail sector to the specific requirements of our charity clients.
Charity Land Portfolios
We act for a number of charities that own significant property holdings. These property holdings vary from residential, commercial and educational properties that our clients either sub-let or occupy, to large estate holdings. We offer these clients advice on all property aspects of their holdings. The advice we give includes sales and purchases, leasing or licensing and full portfolio re-financing.
Not for Profit Organisations
As well as registered charities, we advise a number of not-for-profit organisations, including clubs and associations. We have particular expertise in relation to fishing rights, and currently act for one of the leading angling associations in the UK.
