Charities we support
As a legal adviser with many clients in the charitable sector, we contribute as much as we can to those in the not for profit sector with the provision of free knowledge (for example, through seminars and training courses), special discounts on our legal rates, by providing access to our premises and other resources without charge and by donating our time.
Members of our private client team come into regular contact with many charity people, donors and settlors, trustees and beneficiaries so it comes as no surprise that we have many links in the charity and not-for-profit sector. Again, our lawyers are generous with their time in providing talks to professional and charitable organisations and their staff. Several of them also make a significant contribution through their involvement on the administrative and governing bodies of these organisations.
We encourage our people to contribute to charities that are close to the firm as well as those they are close to personally – there’s information on this in our pursuits page. Obviously, we are frequently asked to make financial contributions to charities.
Each year, our staff nominate just four charities that we will support and to whom we channel all the funds we raise through events, dress down days and other fundraisers. Our current charities include:
St Mungo’s – Helping the Homeless
Please contact our HR Manager if you would like to be considered as one of our annual choices, although obviously we give preferential treatment to those charities which have a link with us or our people.
