Robert Lloyd-Davies
Chairman of Royds and a Partner in the Property Department
Robert is the Chairman of Royds and has been a Partner in the Property Department for more than 20 years. Robert has lived and breathed law for as long as he can remember. His father was a barrister and he spent his childhood living just a stone’s throw away from the Royal Courts of Justice in London’s illustrious legal quarter, the Temple. He joined the firm as an Articled Clerk in 1969.
Expertise and Clients
Robert specialises in all aspects of retail and commercial property, including acquisitions, leases, planning, portfolio investment work and land development. His clients include retail giant, Monsoon, which has some 500 shops across the country. He led the acquisition for the Monsoon headquarters in Paddington and more recently he clinched a deal to buy land which is earmarked for its future headquarters.
Robert’s other important clients include educational and religious institutions, banks and charities. He also acts for a number of London restaurateurs. His expertise is complemented by the fact that he takes a real interest in all of his clients.
