Deanna obtained a BA in Law and Criminology from the University of Sheffield and was awarded a distinction for the Legal Practice Course (LPC) from the College of Law London. Deanna received the Law Society’s National Prize for Outstanding Performance based on overall average marks achieved on the LPC in 2004/05, and she was nominated for the Law Society’s John Harrison Prize for achieving the highest percentage result in an elective subject involving the law of Wills, Probate and Administration.

Expertise and Clients

Deanna trained with Royds and qualified into the Private Client department in September 2007. Her areas of work include capital taxation, the creation, administration and winding up of trusts, estate planning, wills, probate and estate administration, mental capacity, Court of Protection and charity law. Deanna acts for a range of individuals, families and charities and enjoys building lasting relationships with these clients.

Memberships

Deanna attends Charity Law Association meetings and has recently qualified through the Qualified Practitioner route as a full member of STEP (affiliated to London City branch).

Interests

Deanna enjoys walking and cycling in the countryside, cooking and entertaining friends and family, and travel (having spent time in India and made a six-month round-the-world trip alone following university).
