Relf Clark is a Senior Associate in the Family & Private Client Department and has been with Royds since 1998.   Educated at Worcester College, Oxford, he was an articled clerk with Blaser Mills & Newman and qualified as a solicitor in 1982.   After a decade as an in-house adviser with Costain Group plc, he returned to private practice in 1993 and after five years with Stuchbery Stone moved to EC4.

Expertise and clients

Relf has extensive experience of all the aspects of land law commonly encountered in practice.   His work includes the sale and purchase of residential property; the statutory extension of leases; mortgages, especially those of the equity release kind; property distribution on death and divorce; and dealings with trusts and settlements.   He acts for a number of private individuals and companies in connection with the grant, assignment and renewal of business leases.   His clients include lawyers, actors and other prominent figures, an overseas bank, and the Royal Society of Musicians.

Relf is a member of the Law Society.

Interests

Relf has a PhD in historical musicology and combines research with composition and performance.
