This is an expanding area of our practice, with Royds frequently being called upon to advise new and existing clients on family matters. We advise on divorce, separation, pre-nuptial and post nuptial agreements, division of assets, children and cohabitation disputes. Many family disputes are now arising from the recession and we advise on the resulting debt and breakdown problems.
We deal with all matrimonial disputes and aspects of family work, including international and jurisdictional issues. These include:

custody
contact and children disputes
maintenance
capital provision and transfer of property orders
prenuptial and cohabitation agreements
postnuptial agreements
disputes between cohabiting partners.
We liaise closely with other departments on the division of pensions, annuities, tax and related family issues. We carry out mediation work and are members of the Solicitors Family Law Association.
