Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate social responsibility is at the forefront of our thinking and our everyday working practices.  We are determined to achieve our strategic business goals by leading our firm in a way which is consistent with our mission and values.   Our mission and values are fundamental to the relationships we build with our clients and our staff.

Our environmental strategy recognises the impact our business has on the environment and Royds is committed to leading their staff and, wherever possible their clients, to minimise the impact of its activities on the environment.

The key points of the firm’s strategy to achieve this are to:

  • minimise waste by evaluating our day-to-day operations to ensure that they are as efficient as possible
  • actively promote recycling of confidential waste, glass and cardboard
  • encourage staff to join the Cycle to Work Scheme to reduce the impact on climate change
  • source and promote product ranges to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution
  • endeavour to meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to us as a firm

From January 2009 up until February 2010 the firm recycled 5,300 kg of paper for which they received an award which is proudly displayed in their staff room.  This was the equivalent of saving 67 trees and 7,200 kg of CO2 emissions.

The firm’s strategic aims for 2011/2012 is to develop its presence in the community and surrounding areas and to continue to help the environment and to tackle climate change.  To achieve this we will unite with our clients and staff to develop a theme for our corporate social responsibility programme.
